The Golden Present, Pittsboro, NC
This peaceful oasis set amidst the rolling hills and agricultural mecca of Pittsboro, North Carolina is named in honor of Sri Swami Satchidananda, who honored all the world's religions and invited people to keep whatever religion they were drawn to and to simply practice a yoga lifestyle as a way to see the light of their true nature, which is peace, joy and happiness. He encouraged people to have "An easeful body, peaceful mind, useful life" and "Do good, be good." He often reminded listeners that "You are peace personified. You are happiness personified." He believed that "The Truth is One and the Paths are Many" and that whatever a person's personal beliefs and customs are, they are to be respected and honored, yet we all share in the truth that at our essence we are all the same- beings of Light and Love. I offer this beautiful space to all those who seek rest and transformation, peace and joy, bliss and harmony. I humbly offer this beautiful space and all that I can in service to others, as learned from my parents and my teachers, in particular, Swami Satchidananda.
